Green Frog Productions embarked on its journey in Newcastle, Australia, with the debut film "Beat." From these beginnings, we have rapidly evolved, expanding our scope from productions to acquiring and distributing films internationally. This growth has enabled us to share compelling narratives on a global scale, supported by a dynamic team of dedicated creatives who continually push the boundaries of storytelling.

In 2024, our documentary "The Promise" successfully released throughout cinemas nationwide and closed the Melbourne Documentary Film Festival. It was listed for Best Documentary at the AACTA Awards and privately screened to politicians at the Parliament House of Australia, showcasing our commitment to impactful and influential storytelling.

Our portfolio further expanded with the acquisition of two internationally acclaimed films "Empty Nets," directed by Behrooz Karamizade and "Sweetland" Directed by the visionary Christian Sparkes.
Empty Nets is a poignant drama, a co-production between Germany and Iran, has collected numerous awards, including the Special Jury Prize at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, the Best Production Award at Filmfest Munich, Best Fiction at the Adelaide Film Festival, and an Honorable Mention at the San Francisco International Film Festival.
Sweetland is an epic survival tale. eaturing stellar performances by Mark Lewis Jones, Mary Walsh, and Sara Canning. Sparkes' masterful adaptation of Michael Crummey’s novel delivers a powerful cinematic narrative that celebrates humanity’s indomitable spirit and perseverance against incredible odds. Both of these films exemplifies our dedication to bringing diverse and powerful stories to audiences worldwide.
