Founded by Jye Currie in 2022, Green Frog Productions has rapidly evolved into a global force reshaping the entertainment space. What began with a single feature, Beat, has expanded into a dynamic portfolio of bold, original films that defy convention and demand attention. Our films explore the depths of human experience, illuminating stories that might otherwise go unheard.

In 2024, our documentary The Promise was released nationwide, closing the Melbourne Documentary Film Festival and making waves across Australia. It was privately screened to politicians at Parliament House and was up for Best Documentary at the AACTA Awards, proving the power of film to influence real-world conversations.

We have continued to expand, acquiring and distributing internationally acclaimed films, each chosen for its artistic integrity and emotional impact. Empty Nets, a haunting, award-winning drama, has received international recognition at Karlovy Vary, Filmfest Munich, and the Adelaide Film Festival, painting a searing portrait of love and survival in contemporary Iran. Sweetland, a gripping survival epic, brings Michael Crummey’s novel to the screen with staggering beauty, featuring powerful performances by Mark Lewis Jones, Mary Walsh, and Sara Canning. The King Tide is a deeply unsettling yet poetic fable about faith and control, set in an isolated island community. Matria, a powerhouse of a film, won at Berlinale and continues to resonate with audiences worldwide. Darkest Miriam is an unflinching exploration of resilience, premiering at top-tier festivals.
